Analisis Pengaruh Tingkat Upah Terhadap Produktivitas Tenaga Kerja Pada Koperasi Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat (TKBM) Usaha Jasa Pelabuhan Merauke

The aim of this research is to determine whether wage levels impact labor productivity at the Loading and Unloading Labor Cooperative (TKBM) of Merauke Port Services Business, located on Jalan Komodor Yos Sudarso No. 1, Merauke, South Papua. The research population consists of 383 individuals, and samples were selected using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique with the Taro Yamane formula, resulting in a sample size of 80 participants.
The data analysis methods employed include simple linear regression analysis, validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using the T-test and the coefficient of determination (R²).
The analysis produced the following linear regression equation:
Y = 27.517 + 0.262X,
indicating that the Wage Level regression coefficient has a significant positive effect on Labor Productivity at the TKBM of Merauke Port Services Business. The results were significant at a 95% confidence level with a 5% alpha, confirming the hypothesis. The percentage influence of wages on labor productivity was determined to be 27.8%.
These findings differ from the study conducted by Royda and Agung Anggoro Seto (2019) on "The Effect of Wages on Productivity in the Manufacturing Industry Sector," which concluded that wages do not significantly affect productivity. Conversely, the study by Maratin Nafiah (2014), titled "The Influence of Wages, Work Discipline, and Incentives on Rizky Minimarket Workforce Productivity in the Regency," found that wages, work discipline, and incentives positively influence labor productivity.
